About me

I'm a 23 year old PhD student at the Department of Statistical Sciences at University of Toronto, under the supervision of Prof. Elena Tuzhilina and Prof. Piotr Zwiernik. I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and I completed my bachelor's degree in applied mathematics at Sharif University of Technology. During my undergraduate years I had the privilege to work as a research assistant in the Bayesian AI Lab and MInDS research group at Queen Mary University of London under the supervision of Prof. Anthony Constantinou. I also had the honor to complete my bachelor's thesis on constraint-based causal structure learning in a remote collaboration under the supervision of Prof. Kayvan Sadeghi from University College London.
My research primarily focuses on the intersection of the graphical models and canonical correlation analysis. I am also interested in causal inference from both theoretical and practical point of views.
